- Gary Russi, a graduate of the

and a Distinguished Alumnus
of SWOSU (1998) established the Dr. Gary Russi Endowed Scholarship…via
the Southwestern University
Foundation. This year’s recipient
is Pamela Landua of Weatherford,
Oklahoma.
- Irby Family Practice Grants Fund established
by the Lowell Irby Family
in Artesia, New Mexico:
College of Pharmacy graduates Lowell (1955, a
distinguished alumnus of
the College of Pharmacy
(1999); Wade (1996);
and Kirk (1995). This year’s
recipients are Emily

- Joseph
J. Schwemin Scholarship

- Kimberly Maywald Foster (02) and her husband, Scott,
send news of the birth of their first child, daughter Katie Victoria.
She was born on April 21 at 4:36 p.m. in Webster, Texas, weighing
7 pounds, 14 ounces, 20.5 inches long. She also writes, “she
is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be more proud!” Congratulations
to the Foster family!

- Remodeling - A complete remodeling of the west wing of the CPP Building
began,
but budget shortfalls
have delayed the completion of the major project. However, to
begin to meet
ACPE accreditation objectives,
the Pharmaceutical Care
Lab 2 is currently being updated. Students will be using the
lab again
when the summer semester
begins this June.

June 30 of this year. Dr.
Prabhu is leaving to become
Provost at Millersville
