NEW - CPE Monitor Service

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), in collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), has launched the CPE Monitor Service, a continuing pharmacy education (CPE) electronic tracking system. The system will track completed continuing pharmacy education credits that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians receive from ACPE-accredited providers. It will also allow state boards of pharmacy the ability to electronically authenticate the CPE units completed by their licensees, rather than requiring licensees to submit their proof of completion statements (i.e. statements of credit) upon request or for random audits. In order for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to participate in the Service, they must obtain a unique identification number (ID) by setting up an e-Profile with NABP.  For more information, visit the NABP website (http://www.nabp.net/programs/cpe-monitor/cpe-monitor-service/index.php).

IMPORTANT: To ensure that you are properly setup prior to implementation of CPE Monitor (which will be latter part of 2011), go to http://www.MyCPEmonitor.net to complete your e-Profile and receive your ID.

For more details about this Service, visit the ACPE website (http://acpe-accredit.org/cpemonitor/ToolKit.asp)

NOTE FROM SOUTHWESTERN PHARMACY CPE OFFICE:  ACPE and NABP launched the CPE Monitor Service to track completed CPE credits of pharmacists received from ACPE-accredited providers. As an ACPE-accredited provider, we (Southwestern Pharmacy) are required to participate in this system.  Therefore, pharmacists participating in our CPE programs will be required to obtain and provide to us their e-Profile ID, birth month and day as well as their email address.   (Pharmacists will need access to the internet and as well as an email address to obtain the e-Profile ID.)  Additionally, once fully implemented, the CPE Monitor Service will need to be used by pharmacists to track completed CPE credits received from Southwestern Pharmacy.  We will no longer be issuing Statements of Credit after the CPE Monitor Service is fully implemented (we will during the transition, though).  Again, as an ACPE-accredited provider, we (Southwestern Pharmacy) are required to participate in the CPE Monitor System.  Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated!
